I've got the slowest inter net at advertised at 1.5 MBPS download, in reality .2 MBPS download. This is going to take awhile. I can't even change to page 23 right now, so I don't know what to say.

Yes it does, doesn't it! Those were images taken of the original System Image that wouldn't restore, that bill wan't me to take a Macrium Image of.

OK, Nick. We'll just have to sit it out then.
I'm slowly off to bed. All the best, see you tomorrow.

Just lost a post ... not used to tablets
You should be able to just restore 0_sysRes and 1_Windows mrimg files
While still in Macrium Rescue CD run the Fix boot function to set Active on SRP and rebuild the BCD.
I know I had other precautionary steps but they seem to be complicating things.
Wish I could be of more help, I snuck on when others went to bed
Guys,
I downloaded the new Win 10 install media and it bombed at end and gave me a corrupt file, so I'm downloading again. Another day wasted since it will take 9 hrs. to download.

Hi,
Thanks for popping in, Bill.
Apparently both 0-sysRes and another -sysRes image are images of the Windows Recovery partition and not the SRP.You should be able to just restore 0_sysRes and 1_Windows mrimg files
The size of the first image from the original system backup however suggests that it is but there no Macrium backup of it as far as I can tell.
Oh dear.....I downloaded the new Win 10 install media and it bombed at end and gave me a corrupt file, so I'm downloading again. Another day wasted since it will take 9 hrs. to download.
Nick, can you try to mount the image I'm talking about, assign a drive letter to it in disk management so we can have a look it ? Make a screenshot of its contents in explorer and post it here, please.
Thanks.
Hi,
Nick, sorry if I wasn't clear but I'd like you to mount to smaller one, the one just above the one that's highlighted in the screenshot I posted.
TIA ,
EDIT: No need to do this. I've loaded mine from an image and it's roughly the same size as yours. It is the recovery partition so no nee to bother.

Restoring the 0_sysRes mrimg is really only to pre allocate the first 450 MB on the disk as the SRP.If if contains the boot code great, if not the Macrium Fix boot will rebuild it as long as that restored "SRP" partition is set active.
The other 450 MB "Recovery" partition is not important at this point - helpful if you need WinRE, but the Macrium Rescue CD includes Windows PE - so much of what winRE does can be done with the Rescue CD. winRe might be available in C:\Windows\Recovery - I'm not certain, but as I memntioned, winRE isn't required in this process.
You need on disk 0
450 MB SRP -any ntfs part made active will do
C: Windows
Repair the restored 450 MB SRP with Macrium Rescue CD
the repair includes
fixboot
fixmbr
rebuild bcd
set active
Forget about resizing the SRP, 450 MB is OK for this process - just put it on disk 0 as 450 MB
