backup application in windows 10 ver 1511

    Dear sir
The backup application could not start due to an internal error:

The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it. (0x80070422).

I've tried starting up the windows Backup service in "Manual" startup type, making sure that Remote Procedure Call is on "automatic" and started, and BITS is on "Manual" and started. Still get the same error message.
Tried restarting. Same error message. Any advice?

    Hi.
I would recommend using Macrium Reflect Free for your system images. Many members here use it; it's more reliable than Windows backup.

Honestly, if you're using AOMEI Backupper, you're much better off. :)

No thanks. Its a "trial" so down the road you need to fix system, cannot log in and the trial has expired leaving you with a backup you cannot use.

The link below will still get you the original Macrium Reflect FREE version (Final v8.0.7783, not a TRIAL)...

    Nope
. When I install it, I have to provide email for a code. Then when the email arrives I have to click a link to get the TRIAL version not a code.

Well, back in 2016, there was no talk of eliminating the free version...
