Thanks Mike for helping out with Roboform, as I use LastPass, and that saved me some research!

I am a bit stretched thin today @Gomer, so will reply on the other issues later. Thanks for your patience!
No problem simrick .....I just happen to use same one as Gomer .....:)

    Where are they keeping bees?

Yes All had proper paths. Screenshot - I copied that same file to the three Gomer folders Desktop, Cookies, Documents, and then went to Gomer account and checked the paths which you can see in the properties box in this image. None were "useraccount\Cookies\Desktop" type
Excellent. Then the Gomer profile is not corrupt.

One that is opening strangely right now in my account since I uninstalled Office 2000 is the Enterprise 2007. A box comes up saying please be patient while Enterprise 2007 is loaded or installed. Before, Excel or Word just opened.
Try going to Control Panel>Programs and Features. Highlight O2007 and click Change. It should give you an option to repair the installation. You may need your install disks, but usually not.

The Start menu should already be the same for all accounts on the system. It resides here:
    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
Does this work for all MS programs - both Microsoft and Windows?
All programs installed on the system with a Start Menu entry will show in that location for all users.

Yes, I just went to the WD Passport software and retrieved that Mushroom file and it opened fine from the Retrieved folder.
Excellent, so it is a simple copy function. Good.

Understood, I just have the Passport file retrieved to Gomer. Or do I manually copy them as I did the Mushroom file?
If you can select folders on the WD drive, and then select where to restore them to, you *should* be okay.

Please explain how you handle email...I seldom go online to check email with a browser, Gmail seems to be the only one using POP3 while all the rest are IMAP.
So you use Thunderbird as your email client. Does the Gmail account feed through to it as well?

Browsers are different; I'll need to know which you use. I use Firefox, Thunderbird for my mail aggregator (you call it client? Terrible geekspeak and abuse of English. I have clients who are people!), some Google products - Chrome (for some things but mostly FFx), Earth, Apple products - Picasa, iTunes, Roboform password manager, Ultramon for multiple monitors. I'm worried that these products might think that Gomer is a separate account and not work properly. Some are paid and of course the others are installable, but will have to be set up again the way I want. Am I worrying too much?
Usually, programs installed on a computer are available to all users of that computer. That's not to say there aren't programs that (can) install for a single user only. Everything you've mentioned above should be available for Gomer. You can verify that by going into the Gomer account and looking at the programs listed in the Start Menu.
    p.s. Picasa is no longer

Defender should be good, if you addMalwarebytes Antimalware (Free or paid - paid is better, of course), SuperAntiSpyware (Free), and Malwarebytes AntiExploit (Free). This gives you a more layered approach. OK, and set them up to run and update often?

Defender and MBAE(anti-exploit) will run automatically. MBAM (anti-malware) Free will need to be run manually, on a regular basis, updating the virus definitions first. If you buy the paid version, it will be fully automatic, and is quite good at keeping the "bad stuff" from getting on the computer in the first place. The Free version gets the stuff off, should it get in. I personally use the free version, but recommend the paid version to most users.
(Unless, of course, you are an experienced malware cleaner, like me!) SAS (SuperAntiSpyware) Free is also a manual scan/update.

Take ALL the time you need, even if it takes weeks. You've given me more time than one could expect. Thank you and a HUG
Once you've got your data in the Gomer account, we can deal with the browsers, and then the email. You might want to change Gmail to IMAP.
