After making 7 coasters I sent a support ticket to Macrium. Since I have the paid for version, I get some form of support.
Maybe this is stupid question, but have you tried making the rescue on a usb drive?? Just to see if that might work better?

The same info that is being put on the DVD will go onto the USB so No I have not. The prior version worked just fine and I can still use the boot disk from it.

Ok just thought I would ask, I have done the same thing almost as you. I did burn a cd with Macrium before this update, but not tried to make a new updated one yet, but I did update my rescue usb drive yesterday and that one works fine. Maybe I'll try to make a new rescue on a cd too.

Well Gary I just tried making the rescue disk on my cd, then rebooted to my cd, and got the error from Macrium that it could not find any bootdrive on my computer!!! So seems to be a bug in this new release. The rescue disk I made using a usb drive works fine.
but its a no go if I try making one on a cd.

The strange thing with mine, when I do a search for an image after it Boots, I get drive letters such as E:\-G:\-H:\ and MR thinks my Windows 10 is on E:. I just restored my system using the Boot Disk from 735 so I know that works. In My version there was an option to enter a Boot Option when booting which would require no Boot device. So I tried that and got the same results. That is why I had to do a restore. I wish I could go back to 6.0.735 .

From my MR on my usb MR works fine, saw my backups on the correct drive. also the same with my older MR cd's they also work fine. The only way so far to use the new MR is not to choose cd/dvd for making the rescue disk.

Gary , are you using Win PE 10 to create the USB? I tried it and had issues. Reverted back to using Win PE 5 and all was well.

Using a USB drive and choosing PE 10 works fine on my USB stick. BUT if I try making a rescue disk on a CD using PE 10 it does not work at all. Gary is trying to make his also on a cd if I am reading correctly. But you do have a good point of trying to use PE 5 instead of PE 10. But, using PE 10 DOES work if you make the rescue disk on a usb drive and not try a cd/dvd.
