So, from what I'm reading, I shouldn't bother with the Recovery Media at this point?

    Instead, I should expect a Macrium update momentarily . . . ?

    Hi,
As far as I've noticed and I use the winpe recovery media to create and restore images reflect update has already been sent out and pretty much works.

Oh! OK. Thanks, Thrash. I'll make my media, then. I didn't update Macrium until this morning.

    Hi,
I didn't update reflect until the older winpe failed to create a system image after installing 1903
That was last week I haven't messed with either since then.

I also manually installed the .145 update
Plus on another play also mounted a iso from a 1709 build with internet connection and it installed the .145 update then
Winpe still worked from the previous reflect install to create a system image
So all seems good to go winpe wise

After the iso mounting I didn't even update reflect I already had the updated winpe media and it still works fine both to create and restore images.

Gonna have to dive deeper as USB made by an older MR version on another PC doesn't work either. If it wasn't booting at all would be another story but it boosts fine and than locks whole machine up.
I don't know how you did the clean install, but in a post done in April 2019, Kari was proposing to remove or deactivate the license first and install the free version first and selecting viBoot feature to be installed too. As far as I remember, you were part of this conversation. Maybe, I am not pointing out anything new to you.

Thanks for caring. Mine is free version, uninstalled old but updated MR using Revo Uninstaller and installed freshly downloaded. Don't remember anything about V.Boot during installations, just installed with all defaults. Maybe I should do it again ?

It is just that your case is very interesting, or should I say, intriguing and I can't wait to see how you are going to get to the bottom of it, meaning the steps taken to resolve it.

Nothing, but nothing helped, still same problem, BOOTs OK but locks computer solid. Tried changing PE and Re but no go. I think it might be latest BIOS version on the MB. Restoring to earlier BIOS is complicated and dangerous because of changed AGESA code version, must be done from windows and Asus SW and that's something I'm not willing to risk. New BIOS is for coming Ryzen processors and I will be getting one in a month or so anyway. Gonna try to ask Macrium but i don't think they'll do anything about it at least for now.
I can still use MR to restore from another instance installed in Skippy on another disk. I'm also making another backup with Easus ToDoBackup for which I picked up license given for free last year. Only problem is that license works only for that version and is lost when updated. Comparing to MR it's dead slow.

Mike, I think your best bet is to open a ticket to Macrium (even for the free version)
My personal experience with them has been great. Just be as descriptive as possible (with screenshots, if possible and complete system specs).
Within a couple of days you will receive feedback.
The last time I had opened a ticket, I got a hotfix version of Reflect, within 48 hours!!!
These guys are the best support team, giving great value to their excellent software!
    Good luck
