MR Rescue Media is good for far more than just restoring a backup. I just used it to fix a sudden problem with multiboot between two W10 versions and 2 Linux distros that suddenly cropped up. Could have resolved it other ways but this was with literary 2 clicks.
If you could make use of 2 Home licenses, this offer still appears good (took it myself a few days ago): https://www.macrium.com/valentines-promotion?x-ca=vtw
Actually, as a member of the forum they gave me a discount. I just told them my user name, it could have been a Military discount or because I was stationed in Munich before.
MR is the best thing that can happen to the market with regard to backing up your computer sytem. I got two paid versions from the get-go for both of my PCs and I am enjoying every single bit of it. It's fast and I cannot recall the last time I had a problem with it. Whenever there is a little bug, the solution is quickly found on their forum. You really get more than your money's worth.
Yep - it is worth it for five main features:-
- Rapid Delta Restore (RDR) - no other tool is a patch on Macrium for this!
- Incremental backups - I use this coupled with RDR instead of crappy System Restore Points - more reliable and much faster.
- Restore to different hardware (ok Windows is really good for this but once in a while this feature is handy)
- File and Folder Backup
- Ransomware Protection
Several other features as well
