Quick question. I know I needed to make a new Boot/Rescue Medium between major updates like from 7.1 to 7.2. Do I need to make another between these "patches" like the .3811 to .3825? I do appreciate your comments. Thanks ...

Probably not unless the release note specifically mention it. That said I always do.

I agree - there is always the possibility of an omission error on the release notes. I am 100% certain it is ok if I do the iso update anyway.

Pigpenz, I've sometimes found that although it's supposed to, PowerShell doesn't always work for certain commands, while the Command Prompt does work.

Nuff said. Just made a new one for each machine. Thanks for the responses. Y'all have a good weekend.

Actually, just to see if it was possible (or would brick the PC) I made an image with 64-bit UEFI Macrium 7.2 then restored it by booting from a legacy 32-bit Macrium 7.1 usb.

    Disappointingly, it worked perfectly

I'm not surprised. The only time they have mentioned forwards incompatibility was the transition from V6 to V7 when they introduced rapid delta restore.

That is fine for a basic restore.
A new USB will contain the new 7.2 Macrium software so other tasks are available.

Sometimes you need to run specific commands as SYSTEM.
If you don't already have it, download "psexec" from sysinternals and run the command: PSEXEC -i -s -d CMD and run your batch file as SYSTEM, to see if it works.

Agree with Keith. I usually do, more habit than anything. This case, it really isn't necessary due to the actual changes made. They have no bearing on a Rescue Environment, just the run time MR. But.....I always do, I don't have to remember or scratch my head "should I or shouldn't I". Confused enough, Clayton? Just do it as habit.....
