New Macrium Reflect Updates

    First time ever I seem to have impossible to solve issues with a Skippy build. Had 7 GSODs in first two days, then two today after starting from scratch, deploying a new custom image (clean install).

    I volunteer to bite the bullet before one more fresh deployment. Macrium patched, new recovery media created, creating a full system image as we speak. When done, before redeploying a fresh image, I will try to restore.

    I have just restored an old image with patched version and it works fine. I have kept previous rescue iso, so if I get an issue, I can always boot from a usb drive.

    That was fast, the backup was ready as soon as I had posted the previous post. I had no issues in booting to Macrium PE and restoring the image.

    Everything OK.

    Hi Kari
    @Kari

    missed your post to say all working --well done !!

    Did you make the bootable media before or after patching MR (I know sounds like a "baby" question but I've made those types of silly errors in the past.

    I did a stand alone restore -- note I did use MR to delete the partitions before the restore - but it worked fine.

    The only thing I noticed is that it seemed a bit slower than normal MR but I've got two VM's on the "C" drive so probably more data to restore.

    Cheers

    I patched Reflect, removed Macrium PE boot entry from boot menu, re-created PE, added it to boot menu and created USB. Booted from Macrium PE RAM disk (boot menu entry), image restored without issues.

    This is Skippy 18234.

    There are actually 5 editions you can go by what you need that free doesn't have: Macrium Software | Macrium Reflect Free
