    @pigpenz - not sure if this known issue identified in earlier Insider builds has been resolved but it may be worth looking into the earlier "workaround" outlined by Macrium here: https://knowledgebase.macrium.com/di...iew+17063+BSOD

    just installed macrium free didn't do any sn# yet but the option to install CBT was greyed out
    updated the registry and rebooted
    no GSOD so far so good

    have always installed and put in a sn#, so may go back and try one with a sn# and reboot and see if it still works

    If that's a purchased license sn# then it should work. If however it's a generic # created by MR Free during setup then it won't change a thing.

    An FYI regarding today's update (7.1.2899) - the problem with Insider builds of Win10 that I pointed pigpenz to earlier is stated to have been resolved:

    • mrcbt.sys Update

    The Macrium Changed Block Tracker driver mrcbt.sys has been updated to comply with the new kernel mode driver requirements for the Insider Preview and subsequent public release of Windows 10.

    I know this is redundant relative to updated first post - just wanted to point it out here for added convenience.

If you ask me, Macrium Reflect should be obligatory, first application installed after installing Windows 10. Users often think it as just another backup application but in fact it is much more, giving more than any other free imaging solution....
