Had the same issue with reflect newer version
It would create system images just would not verify them after creating them
I've just started creating images using the recovery cd/ flash media and verify them there after creation.

No problem works ever time using the winpe instead
Not sure why but if the image will not verify it's likely to fail during a recovery
That was the deal for me I had one fail and started doing everything with the recovery method seeing I'm going to be using the recovery cd.. anyway to restore one might as well create them

Only bad thing is you have to create a folder for the system image in advance.

I might add using the winpe the image creation and verify are a shitload faster and without windows running probably more dependable :)
