    Thanks, Josey.

I'll take this update as hopefully they fixed some of things that got "broken" during some recent updates (been holding off because of that).

Just updated mine :) although I do not have issues, is it worth upgrading my rescue media?

    Hi,

is it worth upgrading my rescue media?
It's always advisable to do so.

Yep! Excellent backup software. And an excellent tutorial on how to install and use.

FYI - there are various versions - the free version is an entry level version and perfectly adequate for your needs based on your orginal post.

Then the versions are not free with next level being Macrium Reflect Home (nothing to do with Windows Home).

This adds extra features of hch many of us here use especially rapid delta restore, incremental backups, deploying images to different hardware, file and folder backup, and recently Macrium Image Guardian which helps to prevents malware infecting backup images.

Many here consider the cost of the Home version is well worth it. I do not recommend you buy this yet - get used to free version first, and in future you may decide you would like the extra features. The Home version will read all images made by Free version.

Beyond that, versions are more geared to the corporate market and much more expensive of course, and of periphery interest to most of us.

And to quote Tina T - "It is simply the best, better than all the rest".
