New Macrium Reflect Updates

I actually used 2614 to do a restore - it worked fine.

If you look at the bugs for 2619, they are minor really and most importantly do not affect the integrity of the actual backup.

Same happened with 7.0 - a number of quick fixes mainly for obscure stuff, and it settled down.

I see nothing in these updates to be duly concerned about. I would love to see the opposition fix bugs as quickly (especially Acronis who used to take months even for really serious bugs).

Done. Thanks, TC. I opened Macrium and it said what you said, so I let it do its thing.

Do I need to update the boot menu set up when I upgrade from V6 to V7? I set up the Macrium boot menu option when I had V6 installed.

That my friend is one reason I use MR. I had used the opposition in the past and did not care for it. Macrium Reflect IMHO is the best out there.

Yes you do as it is a different version and to be safe I would, I always do. You do mean the rescue Boot don't you?

Yes mainly because you are going to have New Windows PE files that need updating. Should update your PE files after every new update or at least check to make sure you don't need too. Most of the time MR will always have a new update for the WinPE files.

Actually, I always update it for a simple reason. If you do not, it will still work in most cases, but the title on the header when fired up remains as the old build number, so can be confusing.

By recreating, the title is always showing latest build number - then I am certain it is latest version.

As an aside, I just made a full image backup of my PC which on V7.0 took 9+ minutes. On V 7.1, it took 7.5 minutes.

In both cases, I had disk cleaned up etc, and size of my installs were the same give or take max 1GB.

    WOW!!!

Updated MR 6 free edition to MR 7 free edition.

MR V7 is much, much faster. I made a full Image backup of my SSD Windows 10 Pro to my external Seagate Expansion HD and it was very fast, the transfer rate was 1.2Gb/s and in 5 minutes the full Image backup was completed. UAU!!! Very good!
