    Hi,

Guys, a new patch is just out bringing the version to 7.1.2611

    Cheers,
And I'm now on 7.1.2614! I think this is the second patch so far today.

Oh! We went to the Senior Center for lunch and some pool practice, then home to rest (just woke up), so maybe it rolled 'em all together for me.

Perhaps Macrium's QA is as bad as Microsoft's?

Not at all - some teething glitches always through with a major upgrade. As a rule. they are usually for pretty obscure cases but what is impressive the rate they fix such bugs. Acronis usually took months by which time a new build was out, and you had to pay an upgrade fee!

Oh - do I only need 11 more posts (10 after this?) - do posts to chillout room games count - that is a quick way to get your post count up - LOL (only kidding).

I just tried loading up an image backup of my main host on laptop using viboot, and it loaded nicely. I added a new program in the hyper-v vm, and then made a full image backup from viboot and it was MUCH FASTER than in version 7.0.

To backup my host takes around 10 minutes.

Previously on version 6, it took over an hour to backup an updated viboot image as a full image, and it was quicker to create an image backup within the Hyper-v VM rather than from viboot but not that fast at over half an hour,

Now creating up from viboot takes around 20 minutes which is not as fast as backing up host (as it has more work to do I guess) but is much better than on 7.0.
