Windows 10: New Macrium Reflect Updates Solved

  1.    28 Sep 2017 #861

I am little disappointed with MRF7.

Apart from fixing Task Scheduler, nothing new to be excited about. The viboot link is no good for Home users, and just saves you clicking a shortcut rather than a link.

Only real positive is it should be faster than V6.

    Hi,

It even times out when trying to make rescue media on three machines here. Not very reassuring.

    Thanks for heads up, folks.

Agree, bit underwhelming but I wasn't really expecting much so not really disappointed. V6 was doing a great job so V7 or V6 won't affect me.

You have to make a change in other tasks in order to delete an old image see Below:

Has anyone recovered an image made with Reflect Free v6 in v7? were there any problems? Does v7 operate with the scheduled backup tasks defined in v6?

Actually, I back track a bit on previous comments. V7.1 has some significant "under the hood" improvements. It now has Macrium Image Guardian (not in Free version) to prevent backups being attacked by malware, and a significant change to way viboot runs which paves the way for vmware/virtualbox solutions.
