    Hi,

Because most of the time all you need are generic USB drivers which is why I said it's generally not needed to have machine specific rescue media for every single device somewhere way earlier in this thread.

Corporations and big networks are different story but you can still incorporate all drivers into the rescue media including language packs and what have you.

    Cheers,
I've been trying to do that to W7 last few days because it can't install in my new Ryzen system but every time it finds another driver missing.

    Hi,

Mike, I don't think that will ever work. W10 and whatever follows, yes but not anything before that from what I recall reading about it.

    Enjoy the new toy though,

Asus has drivers for that MB and W7, just got to inject them properly. I was trying to go easy way using NtLite program but some of those drivers just wouldn't install. Just wanted to see that difference between W7 and 10 on new HW.

    Hi,

Sure I totally get what you're trying to do but as said I read somewhere (wish I recalled where) that Ryzen CPU and W7 won't play well.
Which is understandable given W7 is totally Ryzen unaware and they (you know who) aren't willing to accomodate it given their preferance for W10 etc, etc.

    Cheers,

On May 24th, a Macrium employee (Mike A) posted in the Macrium forum ( //forum.macrium.com/Topic12252-2.aspx ) that SFTP capability in on the current development road-map and macriumreflect's twitter account confirmed it will be a minor release and therefore a free upgrade. I have only been using Macrium Reflect free so I cannot post in their forum

Since very few backup programs support SFTP I will be buying the Macrium version that supports SFTP. I would purchase it now except I want to make sure the version I get will be the one that supports SFTP. Macrium offers both home and the pricier business products under the "Reflect" label. I am just a home user running Linus based SFTP server. I only need a version that runs on 3 or 4 Win 10 PCs, not one that runs on my server.

Does anyone know which Macrium products will support SFTP?

That link was posted under the V7 wish list sub-forum. I would assume it will be available under V7. However he never gave a date when it would be completed. They do offer a 4 pack for the PC environments. You contact them via phone or email https://www.macrium.com/contact/general-enquiries

Text below as not easy to find.

I would assume this will be a V7 development only as V6 is in bug fix mode only now.

It will almost certainly be in Home version upwards, but in Free - anybody's guess.

    Hi,

Approximately 95% of malware can be stopped by running Windows with standard user accounts. It is recommended to have separate admin and user accounts (and just use the standard user account). Similarly if you have a domain, setup a specific account for the domain admin and only used when required.

Macrium Reflect will support SFTP in a future release. The work required for SFTP support is on our current development road-map.

    Thanks,

    Mike

    Hi guys!

Weird question... is there a way to get the free version full installer without having to rely on the online one?

    Thanks in advance
