    Hi,

Mike Sir, get some coffee, please.
The PE version does not change. What changes is the boot.wim. That's what's getting patched and MR is pretty clever on how they do it.
Not that it's all that hard but these are actually clever coders we're dealing with. Trust us Sir and you will reign over your Countship for years to come, promise.

    Cheers and bed now,

    Count Frank the impostor.

Generic term. The masses would not understand or care that's it's only a driver or two, or something else. Look at how they put together the stuff. Note the Status

Yeah, I let it attempt to update drivers but nothing happens. In any case, it never refused to boot and work.

    Hi,

They do not update the W10 PE version. They're updating their version of it which is after all their integration of MR into Win 10 PE, right ?
When you have MR installed you also have the very basic WIN PE toolkit installed so they use that cleverly to update the boot.wim of the rescue media to build and update to boot.wim.

I could explain the finer details but bottom line is when MR patches you like to update your rescue media too to be current.
It's not because MR does not download a new PE version, which it only does when Windowws does as well that it does not patch its rescue media.

I get it, that's why it's .wim file.

See that SATA RAID controller driver? Macrium is smarter than MS when it comes to the boot structure needed. It knows, on my box, I need that driver because of my NVMe SSD. When I make an install thumb for Windows, I have to "inject" that driver into the .wim and copy it back to the thumb, else the installation cannot "see" the C: drive. Macrium sees it just fine. Just an example.

Because most of the time all you need are generic USB drivers which is why I said it's generally not needed to have machine specific rescue media for every single device somewhere way earlier in this thread.

Corporations and big networks are different story but you can still incorporate all drivers into the rescue media including language packs and what have you.

    Cheers,
