Yup, veering OT here...quite right about Rufus, but my thing is, making a bootable partition on Linux only affects Grub...making it active on Windows, however, boots fine from bios.
So..
Windows.. 1
Linux.........0
... or am I missing something...? (apart from 3rd party)
Well grub is third party is it not? I just find it a bit too complicated for what it does.
Anyway EFI is much simpler to deal with than legacy. Generally your EFI loader will boot anything without faffing with setting things active. You stick windows loader in the ESP it will boot Windows. Stick another in and it will boot that. Stick some EFI drivers in and it will boot from any external device you plug in. You can even stick the whole Linux kernel in the EFI partition if you feel like it (that is too complicated/pointless for me though).
Seeing what looks like a bug on both my comps that do scheduled imaging.
MR is writing a false date on the image file. It may be due to writing the date that it was supposed to run rather than the date it actually ran.
When looking to open an image file MR shows the correct dates i.e. they match the run dates in the log. But the saved image files have the wrong date
A good example is my main comp that was turned off for all of last week. The images saved show dates when the comp was off!
Pretty confusing.
Not being a paying customer, not sure whether I can tell them!
Well unless you allowed your Scheduled Task to Start the computer to run the Task ? if unplugged too then a possible bug yes...
KB
Comp was powered off the whole week so no way it could run the task.
Also, as stated, MR did store the correct run date in the image itself.
