@Wynona use the "r" switch of just go into properties\tools\error checking and force a check choosing the repair option(takes a while)
    chkdsk usb drive letter: /r

    Example Chkdsk E: /r

OK, I did it, then tried to check the USB drive, but it says:

I have some important work that needs to get done, so I'll come back to this later. When I get time, I'll read the instructions and go from there.

    Thanks for the help.

Well I still didn't get offer to update but not concerned because I don't have that problem supposedly solved by update. I'm using few micro SD 8GB cards for rescue, one of them is for MR. Also never had problems with PE, it always downloads it when making rescue media.

This probably belongs in the Security section because system image/reimage is probably the second most important thing after your AV.

Pretty easy to do, once you get the hang of - Modify PE....

I would like to see your script file, as a quest for improvement / devolopment...
Not near my pc at moment - really simple batch file - here's the gist

Assumes I have updated Macrium in Windows first, and Rescue-Win pe Usb file inserted in pc

    mount boot.wim file (D:\mount)
delete macrium directory in mount drive
copy macrium sub directory to mount drive
    dismount boot.wim
copy boot.wim to usb drive sources directory

Then only thing do after that is create iso from usb using imgburn.

When I get a moment, I'll dig out file and post it.

    I see what you doing....

All you have to do is > mount boot.wim > run Macrium from within mounted boot.wim folder
    Macrium will auto-update
Firefox will auto-update too.. If you run it as well..
    Commit changes and dismount..

Finally got update thru MR directly, it's 1311. Among other things there's update for PE update.

Sure but with this batch file, it just does it all as I have to update it once on main pc anyway.

Batchfile is run from windows with usb drive inserted.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

rem --- batch file assumes d drive is used for mount directory
rem --- batch files assumes usb drive is drive g
rem --- amend drives etc as appropriate

    d:
    cd\

rem ---optional if boot.wim not on d root drive already - remove rem if you prefer
    rem copy g:\boot.wim boot.wim

rem make backup of boot.wim on sources if things go wrong
    copy g:\sources\boot.wim d:\boot.sav

rem ensure old mount drive is removed
    rd d:\Mount /s /q
    md Mount

rem ensure stale mountpoints are cleared
    Dism /cleanup-wim

rem mount image in \mount directory
    Dism /Mount-Image /ImageFile:"d:\boot.wim" /Index:1 /MountDir:d:\Mount

rem remove old macrium files and copy from C drive - assumes Macrium updated already
    d:
    cd "\mount\program files\macrium"
    rd reflect /s /q
    xcopy "c:\program files\macrium" /s

rem unmount drive and copy boot.wim to usb drive
    Dism /Unmount-Image /MountDir:d:\mount /Commit
    g:
    cd \sources
    copy d:\boot.wim boot.wim

rem - not sure why but dos not delete macrium directory - so do it manually
    d:
    cd\
    rd d:\Mount /s /q
