I wonder if Macrium pulled this update, at least for the free version.
I saw the 1309 update offered earlier, but now when i check for updates it shows 1225 as the current version.

Click on this link i copied from Post #1 for the free version and see what it shows.

Yes it appears they've changed back to the prior version on their website.

Anyone know why??? I haven't been able to find notifications or discussions about any issues with the 1309 update???

I updated 3 laptops today. Everything went fine and Reflect appears to functioning properly. Creation of 3 updated Rescue flash drives went smooth and work perfect also.

** Just did Differential Backups on 2 of the laptops with 1309 and everything functioned properly. Verified the backups. All good.

    Hi there.

Unlike a lot of other programs I'm not sure if you really need to update every time -- unless something is actually broken I'd tend to leave a working backup / recovery program unless you really need to fix something. Remember a new version might not be able to read your earlier backups taken with a previous version -- Macrium so far though hasn't had that problem - I have experienced that with some other backup programs though -- so even if you DO upgrade keep the old version just in case.

I haven't updated for a while -- nothings broken yet --I'll wait until I see something that effects me or if there are some desirable new features. I regard updating a backup / recovery program rather like updating a BIOS -- only do it if you absolutely have to.

    Cheers

I tend to agree on that with some software, however there were Bug Fixes noted on the .1309 Changelog, so sometimes everything is working until one of those Bugs comes into play. I think with Backup & Restore software it's best to stay up to date.

I have the free version so i can't post on the Macrium forum.
Hopefully someone with the paid version will ask about this, and Macrium will explain why 1309 was pulled.

It now downloads the previous version. Last night I was able to pull version 1309 off Macrium's server. I am curious to know why they removed it now.

Macrium Reflect updated to a new Version 6.1.1311 ( See Bug Below That Was In 1309 )

    Bug Fixes 6.1.1311 - 24th May 2016

    Problem with long volume names

A problem was found with v6.1.1309 where long file system Volume Names could cause a program crash. This has been resolved.
