I just had to re-enter my product key to get incrementals to work.

I must say I have been (and am) extremely satisfied about how Reflect works. One important thing to me is that I always get almost the maximum possible transfer speeds, storing backups to NAS. I have never seen transfer speeds lower than 800 Mbps, usually getting close to 1 Gbps.

Are you backing up to a HDD or SSD ?
This is on a slow HDD:

I am backing up to NAS, so the transfer speed is limited to 1 Gbps (Gigabit Ethernet). I get faster speeds if backing up to local disk or external USB3 disk, but for me, NAS is a perfect solution.

Ah, that explains it although that doesn't seem much slower than HDD.

I have the habit, to create new Rescue Media, following every Macrium Reflect Update.
The process I follow is to insert the USB stick and quick format it, erasing the previous Rescue Media.
I then open Macrium Reflect and since there is an update installed, I press Build to create the new Media. Once done and is ready to write the new Rescue Media to the USB, I get the message that the Macrium Reflect failed to access the USB drive, which is not the case as the USB stick is there, as seen in the following screenshot.

Pressing OK and retrying does not help.
The only way to complete the Rescue Media creation is to unplug and replug the USB stick.

I have noticed this behavior in all three of the last updates (including this one 7.2.4228).
Has anybody else seen anything similar?

No, but I do the same, the reformatting. But I always eject and plug back in. Habit.

    Thanks a lot, Dick
It seems that If I want to avoid that error (which is a minor issue, apparently), I must be changing habits... i.e. reformat and unplug, before starting creation of the rescue media!

I don't know for certain, but I believe it has to do with the driver not recognizing it yet since it was freshly formatted, and all the magic of plug 'n play hasn't kicked in.

I don't know either...but what you said sounds kinda logical. The question is what has changed and this behavior started in the last three updates, as it was working perfectly, before.

I just plugin my Rescue Disk and then open Macrium. I click on Build and it works fine. I do not reformat the USB stick, just plug it in.
