When I went to create the Rescue (after the update), it told me there was a newer version WIM... (I think) and ask if I wanted to download it. Like yesterday, and I said yes again. These notices are what made me question it. If it was required, I doubt I would have been given the option. But then, what do I know.

Thanks Dick. I can always use a chuckle. Usually at my own expense.

    Dual Boot System
    Default: Release Build 17763.55
    Secondary: Skippy/Insider Build 18272.1000

Skippy/Insider Build 18272 was installed 11/1/18. I think Macrium 7.2 update may have been installed before that time.

    Boot up times:

    1. Boot to Production: 20 seconds
    2. Boot to Production (following shutdown of Production): 20 seconds
    3. Boot to Skippy/Insider (following shutdown of Production): 55 seconds
    4. Boot to Skippy/Insider (following shutdown of Skippy/Insider): 22 seconds
    5. Boot to Production (following shutdown of Skippy/Insider): 50 seconds

I don't know what to make of this, since

I'm not sure if I booted into my Skippy/Insider partition after updating to Build 18272 (before installing the Macrium update), so I don't know when I noticed the slow boot time. Was it before or after?

At this point, I don't know whether Microsoft or Macrium is the culprit. I only know that things aren't as good as they were before I installed these two updates.

Just a small note - if you use optical disks then you now have to use a DVD as the iso file is too large for CDs to create the rescue disk.

Thanks for the note. Been using DVDs almost exclusively for nearly everything. Did notice the size taken up and picked up on that yesterday.

    May have to!

My iso is only c. 600 MB and c. 500 MB if I exclude wifi profile.

I am not sure why your iso is so big - I assume it is related to added drivers.

    Yes it's the added drivers.

    Hi folks

possible defect when running latest Macrium Free version with latest patch on the skippy - Windows - build (I think though might be more of a problem with File explorer).

After running backup to an external HDD (image backup) I can't remove the external HDD as it says device busy -- could be there's still a macrium service running or something. System needs re-boot to free the HDD. I've had some weird things with file explorer in this build so I'm not going to say it's a macrium defect - although it *could be* !!!!

    Cheers
