Wonder if anyone remembers "Smoley's Bible" (Tables)? A set of Engineering and Architectural tables.

Guys sorry to break the party....but I just looked at the top and the thread is New Macrium Reflect Updates not "Trip down memory lane".
I think we have all screwed up the thread!

That's what usually happens while we're waiting for an update, Ddelo.

We've inherited that from our "mother" site Seven Forums, where the official rule says "any thread not gone off topic on page 4 has something seriously wrong", page 4 here referring to forums default 10 posts per page.

On to a more serious post:
I have been using Macrium version 6 to back up my desk top computer which has about 160 GB used.
It had been taking over an hour - resulting in about 80 GB for the backup. The last two times I ran it, it only took 28 minutes for the same amount of data.
Should I be concerned? It may have done some minor updates previously.

    Hi,
    - are you still using the same technology (e.g. USB3 vs USB2 external disk) - is the hardware scenario the same?
    - are you creating a base image each time, or the more usual base image + differential image?
    - have you checked your disks?
    - is your PC otherwise idle?
    - is your source disk HDD or SSD? (A differential image of my SSD, 100Gb used, takes less than 12 mins over USB3 e.g)

Macrium has been v7 for a while..

That, alone, would explain the time being ~ half.

Nerds used to be easy to detect. They were the guys with pocket protectors and slide rules. I used to have a couple of slide rules. This conversation has made me wonder if I could still operatae one.
