I don't remember that tech, ever giving us a date as to when these features / New version would be released Martin. Think all he said was something like coming soon.....or in the near future. So I would think we might be getting closer now.
IIRC he said it would be a week or so.

He did say something like that, Cereberus, but later kinda took it back and said he hoped it would be, but . . .

Macrium Reflect ver 7.1.3196. The last 3 restores that I have done ended up with the "recovery partition" having a drive letter installed? I use the mini tool partition wizard to remove it with no known ill effects, but why is it doing it. Any body seen this?

I've never had that happen, that is odd. Just curious.....in the mrimg file itself, if you Explore it, does it show a drive letter for Recovery?

I've seen reports of the last couple or three Insider Preview Builds giving Recovery a drive letter . . . could that have happened before you backed up and restored?

I looked at the last 5 images, non had a drive letter assigned. Destination drive was freshly formatted and only one partition to start with. TX

I usually make an image after disk clean up. I restore the latest ver to a spare drive to be the experimental "lab rat" in case something goes bonkers. The latest builds did not have a drive letter assigned to recovery. Only happened when a did a restore version.
Glad you read that before, thought it might have been just meTx

I'm not totally up on Disk Id's and their magic, but if the destination drive was clean formatted, the partition characteristics (wrong word, I know...I'm tired) may not have followed down to the destination drive from the backup image. I'm probably not explaining it right.

This is what I see before I pick the destination drive, all 4 are checked with the recovery partition (None)

Does anybody ever actually use the recovery partition? I can't find anything it does that Windows install media or a system repair disk can't do, so never include it when I'm doing a Macrium backup. In fact, I always delete the recovery partition on my non-insider machines after a major update creates it and merge that space back into C.
