This is because the paid version uses multi-threading for backups i.e. it can use more than one core at at a time.
Also, the reason the paid restore seems to be slightly slower, is because by default, the default CPU setting is not at its maximum (mine is).
If you want to really be amazed - trying using Hasleo Backup!

. Alas Hasleo doesn't like Linux and I tend to be Mint 99% of the time nowadays after decades of Windows.
I still dual boot just for the very rare W10 need and have W10 in a VM in Linux as well.
