Macrium 8 Home 4 licence pack

I have 4 licences as it was cheaper to buy 4 for my 2 PCs than 2 singles (Black Friday deal). Can I pass on one of the unused licences to my son 200 miles away?

There isn't anything about it here Licensing Policy - Knowledgebase 8.0 - Macrium Reflect Knowledgebase . I have one of those packs. The four licenses have different activation keys, unlike other licenses for other programs that allow installing in several devices, but (depending on the product) sharing the same IP. My antivirus is for up to 5 devices, I could have bought it for 3 at a lower price instead, and Idk if I could give the activation key to someone else provided that between the two don't have more than 5 devices. Softmaker Office doesn't have (afaik) different licenses for different number of devices, although they allow several devices (possibly 4, not sure now) with the same IP.

Not legally - the licences are not transferable as clearly stated in the EULA.

End User License Agreement - Macrium Software

That was my understanding, but I preferred to have a 2nd opinion. Thank you.

Perhaps the licence key is tied to an email address..

We cannot discuss this as this does violate forum rules. All I can say, if you do it, you risk your licences being revoked.

Be interesting if they could make that stick. As far as I know there has been no UK departure from the principle of exhastion of the right of distribution on the first sale. At least in relation to a single license, it might be a bit complicated for multipacks.

It is one reason software companies are trying to push the hapless punters onto rental models.

No, but each of the 4 copies will have your name attached. If you look at Help > About Macrium Reflect..., it states Licensed To: [your name].
