Macrium cannot find my NAS drive

I have 9 backups scheduled automatically thru Macrium. The problem is that it tells me it cannot find \\NAS\Share even tho I can access it no problem. If I manually run the task via the XML definition file, it runs without issues. But when it runs automatically *scheduled* or I manually have it run as a scheduled task, it gives the aforementioned error message and fails.

So instead of D:\GoogleDrive I should use https:\\google.drive or sth?

edit: sorry I misread. So if it cannot find \\NAS\share then I should try \\NAS IP\Share right? Problem is I've tried that but then I cannot even select the share from within the "selection menu"

Another issue I am having is that I have my google drive connected at all times as a virtual drive. When Macrium attempts to back up to it, it cannot as it says it couldn't authenticate into it.

I have OneDrive set up in the same way and Macrium backs up to it no problem. Macrium only allows for the \\Server\Share format, how can I solve this issue?

Why doesn't Macrium successfully authenticate into my Google Drive virtual drive?

Whilst you may be able to store image files in the cloud one way or another... consider the difficulty posed by RESTORING said image.

In particular, I've seen it said that you couldn't use Macrium's bootable disk and access ANYTHING 'in the cloud'.

If that's a deterrent, maybe using cloud storage isn't appropriate anyway. If that's true, the question becomes academic.

Plus considering the size and data transfer rate- it must be that you have very fast upload speeds, and any cloud storage costs for an image file set are not significant for you.

You may then also want to consider security... if uploading your image files, are they encrypted?

Yes they are encrypted. I have no aforementioned problems. But why can't Macrium authenticate into the virtual google drive in File Explorer?
