This is completely wrong.
When you run viboot, it runs Macrium Reflect in the background restoring an image to a virtual hard drive, and then attaches the virtual hard drive to a virtual machine.
This is absolutely no different to if you booted the virtual machine from a Macrium Reflect Rescue iso, and restore an image to the virtual machine. All Viboot does is automate the process to be more convenient.
The Macrium Reflect image is a proprietary compressed format and it can only be decompressed/restored using the Macrium Reflect restore software.
