    Restoring OS

I am in the process of restoring the image of the OS, installed programs, and data with Macrium Reflect. A quick background is that I was restoring to the image using Macrium and hit the Enter key accidentally and that stopped the restore and left the laptop unbootable. I do not have a rescue disk. I have another laptop with Macrium installed. Could I make a rescue disk on it and use it on the one that will not boot? Perhaps the rescue disk is only good for the computer that makes the disk. I have backup plans to restore the image. I will try installing a new OS (or one that uses the key of the old one), installing Macrium, and restoring the image. Thanks for reading and hopefully suggestions. In the future I will have a rescue disk made before I need it.

Yes, make a rescue disk on the other PC, it will almost certainly boot and let you do the restore.

Thanks. I loaded the rescue file on a USB stick and tried it but it would not boot. I did all of the start up thing right I believe like boot to USB. However, there were other unrelated files on the stick. I was considering buying a new fresh USB stick and loading the rescue file on it. I can see how the compute may had had a problem finding the rescue file among the other files.
