It should be in program files

Cannot boot into recovery using AOMEI Backupper Professional Edition 7-aomeipe.jpg

you could change the winpeshl.ini to

    [LaunchApps]
    "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\AomeiBackupper\PeLoadDrv.exe"
    "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\AomeiBackupper\Backupper.exe"

You see "Loading files" and not the Command Prompt window?
Mount the boot.wim and check the drivers or exchange the boot.wim with a copy from the USB

You have to check the mounted Program Files folder! Not the C-Drive.
    like
    D:\mount\Program Files\AomeiBackupper

    Edit
The best way is to increase the size of your Recovery Partition and copy that AOMEI Recovery stuff to that partition.
Then change the BCD-Path to the new location.

I uninstalled AOMEI and reinstalled to Program Files. I created a new usb Bootable Media drive. I did new Recovery Environment and
I can use the usb to start up into AOMEI screen but with it not inserted the same issue as before.
The screen is the choice of “Windows 10” or “Enter into AOMEI Backupper”
I choose “Enter into AOMEI Backupper”. You see "Loading files". Next it will just loop back to options above.

    [LaunchApps]
    "%systemdrive%\Program Files\AomeiBackupper\PeLoadDrv.exe"
    "%systemdrive%\Program Files\AomeiBackupper\Backupper.exe"

If I am in Windows and restart Windows by holding down the “Shift” key while clicking on the Restart option, I will get to the Windows recovery screen.

I choose “Troubleshoot” then “Enter into AOMEI Backupper”.
It will go back to options of booting “Windows 10” or “Enter into AOMEI Backupper”

did you use 7-zip to look in the aomei boot.wim for

    \Program Files\AomeiBackupper\PeLoadDrv.exe
    and
    \Program Files\AomeiBackupper\Backupper.exe

%systemdrive% refers to the ramdisk letter . No point looking on your hard drive look inside the wim.

There is no boot.wim found on the 'c' drive.
    Thanks all for trying
I will update once AOMEI Products Support answers.

I use Macrium Reflect on my main pc and it is so easy. AOMEI is frustrating me

    Run cmd (admin)
    C:\WINDOWS\system32>bcdedit /enum osloader
    and look for device ramdisk=[C:]\.....
there you should find the path to your boot.wim!

If you have VMD enabled in BIOS you have to use the VMD-Driver!

In folder AmDriver you find all drivers that have been added.
Only if you have an INTEL machine and VMD is enabled in BIOS you should find the VMD-Driver!
If you copy the complete AOMEI Recovery folder to your Windows Recovery Partition the whole process is much safer.

I did not get a response yet from AOMEI support but did get other posters to make suggestions. I can only use the usb AOMEI bootable drive. I suspect it may be either HP or AOMEI.

HP has a hidden partition with the Windows files there that was used when you first turn on the pc and it installs Windows 10.
As I do not have much on the pc and do have an image file created I may wipe the partitions and do a clean install of Windows 10 (file already downloaded to a usb drive) and then install AOMEI and see if the same issue shows up.

    Sorta fixed.... new issue now.

I decided to format the hard drive and install Windows 10 from a usb drive. I installed AOMEI but it would not accept my registration....!
I am getting the message below:
"Registration failed. The license code has exceed the maximum number allowed devices, please buy a new license code to register. If you have any questions, please contact support@aomeitech.com for help."

I can now restart the pc and choose “Enter into AOMEI Backupper” and get to the AOMEI screen to say restore an image but of course it has to be registered!!!

At least the ability to boot into AOMEI is now working!! :)

So I figured it was HP as they have a hidden partition with Windows 10 on it that installed when I first started the pc up that was the problem.

I am contacting support@aomeitech.com for help in the registration.

Thanks to all for your help.

You are free to believe that. But it's wrong!
