Why Does Windows Backup App use Data When Service Is Disabled ?

I have never used the new windows backup app, I do not have a Microsoft account and do not use or have OneDrive.

I have disabled the Windows Backup "Service" but for some reason according to task manager app history ,this app still shows that its using cputime and network albeit very small amounts.

Is their any way to get rid of this backup app for good ?

There is a thread discussing that and the attempts people made. Feel free to search for it.

Thanks for the info. I checked some of the other posts as you suggested. I will leave it alone, but as disabled in services in the hopes it at least does something. Whoever decides on introducing these stupid apps needs a kick up the ...............

Under Data Usage, Settings, I don't see it listed. If it is, it's under 1MB for the month.

    Where do you see it?

Maybe there's something you could do to kill data usage with a firewall?
