    Hasleo Backup Suite

This FREE imaging option hasn't been mentioned in a while, so I figured I would do so.

Hasleo Backup Suite is now at v4 and contains the following major features...

    1. Imaging types include Full, Differential & Incremental.
    2. Imaging modes include System Mode (partitions required to restore the BOOTable System), Disk/Partition Mode (select any and all partitions on a given disk, and File'n'Folder Mode (standard file mode backup).
    3. Full GFS (Grandfather/Father/Son) scheduling and retention features.
    4. Restoration modes include System Mode (will restore needed partitions to insure BOOTability of the System), Disk Mode (all partitions included in a Disk/Partition Mode image), Partition Mode (select individual single partition for restore) and File'n'Folder Mode.

Note: a major restore option available is called "Delta Restore." This mode is exactly like Macrium's RDR (Rapid Delta Restore in their paid version), which provides for a very speedy restore operation, especially if the time point being restored to is fairly recent.

    5. Imaging (and most of restoration) process uses all available processor cores/threads for imaging speeds only curtailed by your storage device or CPU speeds.
    5. Automatic restore from LIVE System (does not use the BOOT menu).
    6. Emergency Disk (recovery media) BOOT menu item availability.
    7. Optional Emergency Disk ISO also available.

Those are probably the major features at a glance, other features are available in this neat little product.

I have been using Hasleo to mirror (as a secondary) my current primary Macrium REFLECT GFS imaging operation and to date it has been flawless. The product is probably worth a look... it has come a long way since the start of the year.

For info for other users, free versions of AOMEI, Hasleo, Easeus are all pretty much the same in the way their GUIs are setup.
Once you understand one, the learning curve on the others is minimal.

Hasleo scores due to Delta Restore - a feature only seen on paid versions. This is a majot differentiator with other free tools.

Of course, our old favourite Macrium Reflect Free is still much more flexible - main deficiency being no incrementals (or Rapid Delta Restore).

However, comparing paid versions reveals some other significant differences e.g. AOMEI has ability to synch folders in various ways. Sure there are other tools like Freefilesync, but it is handy to have folder syncing.

So here is my personal order of usage (I have paid versions):

    Primary Tool
    Macrium Reflect Home Paid

Still the most flexible, can use Viboot, Macrium Image Guardian, Mount images as a drive in Explorer
AND most importantly, its support backup is excellent - see recent issues which were fixed in a few days (even then the issues did not affect backup/restore integrity).
This tool has never let me down over many years.

    Secondary Tool
    Hasleo Backup Free

I use this less frequently - basis being "do not put all your eggs in one Basket". I select this as my secondary tool purely for Delta Restore.
So far has not let me down but I only have weeks of experience now. Time will tell.
There does not seem to be a direct support service but there is a forum which the developers frequent.

    Tertiary Tool
    AOMEI Backupper Paid

I used to use this as my secondary tool but (with advent of Hasleo Delta Restore, it has now been relegated. I only use this now and then for the file sync option only.

Whether I change that order depends on future whether Macrium Reflect commercial dictates are personally acceptable to me for V9.

...and as a friendly reminder, Reflect FREE has been deprecated as of some months back, and all support (bug/security fixes) will cease in January 2024 (and may no longer be available for download). From then on, it will run until it dies.

I think we all know that which is why people are considering alternatives .

We have no reason to think those who have the free version will get any issues for many years to come.

Even if you look at issues on latest paid version, they never affect the main backup or restore. People are still happily using V7!

The "last" free version is very stable.
