Anybody who is inetersted could give the free version a quick try. Best Free backup & recovery and ramdisk and partitin manager
I think the subject is operating system backup, i.e. some kind of disk/partition imaging.
Hi @Willabong
You have backup.. and backup and then also.. backup..
Your thread just saying Backup solutions.. There is many different solutions depending on what you want to backup, How you want to do it.. and where to.
as for the question QILING Disk Master Professional... Sorry, but my answer is, I never even heard of it..
and as @Callender wrote "(I used it once and got a non booting machine as a result)"
That do not sound to good It can be Callender missed something, the story didn't say that. ... No offense meant Callender.
But the general rule is.. You getting what your are paying for... and as every rule has it's exceptions... otherwise it never becomes a rule.
The main exception is... open source software.. it does a really good work, but it might not be the best user-friendliest programs some times, but never underestimate an underdog just because it looks ugly as no billion dollar company spend millions on only the design in question.
and to put in something useful in this thread
Here is two 100% free solutions that no one in here can say is crap software that does a poor job.
A free solution for System imaging backups,...that is as good or even better then the old Norton Ghost Is: Clonezilla...... It works on all PC systems and even on filesystem that isn't supported and encrypted disks, as it has a sector by sector cloning as last resource, if the file system isn't supported... This sector by sector cloning also make it good for data recovery jobs. (but that is a totally another discussion)
Clonezilla - About
The program it self looks like something the cat dragged in from the 80's.... but darn it is a good piece of software when you get a hang of how it works.
A free solution for personal data backup i use is, Freefilesync.. This works on Windows, Linux and Mac-OS.
and for me that uses both Linux and Windows, i love to have the same Programs/software on every system.. That way i dont need to keep up with functions and updates of several different software and that they work in different ways and so on and on...
