    OneDrive Question

I was in the process of turning off OneDrive because it was forever telling me to purchase additional storage.
After turning off Notifications etc. I emptied the OneDrive folder even though it continued to tell me it was full.
To my dismay I lost my Desktop shortcuts, my Pictured and Documents too. Synch problem?
Fortunately I regularly back these up to an external eSATA drive so I am now back to normal.
Why would my desktop etc disappear when deleting backups from OneDrive is there a way of stopping that from happening in future.

Hi, not sure why you emptied the folder on your PC... that would be a less common report than exceeding your on-line storage allocation. Hard to tell without the exact message.

As for OneDrive's behaviour- a good many members have uninstalled it (including me) as being too intrusive and complex.

The items that were deleted should also have been capable of being retrieved from OneDrive's versioned on-line storage.

Yes I later noticed the icon in each empty folder leading me to backups. I've since uninstalled OneDrive for the same reason you did.
Thanks for clearing up the issue.
