    AOMIE Backupper freezes/hangs on backups

AOMEI Backupper is freezing or hanging when I try to do my incremental backup. I tried doing this with a manual backup and it keeps asking for permission to skip files but eventually it hangs as well. If I go to restart I get the "AOMEI Backupper is running...." line but it never exits, it runs for days like that. This is a machine running Win10, 32gb ram, and I'm backing up my SSD to my larger in-pc RAID.

    Hi,
    1. Aomei support was reasonably responsive when I asked questions (albeit some years ago).

    2. Check both source and backup disks.
    a. SMART check - Crystal Diskinfo - and much more informative- Hard Disk Sentinel (full functional trial, SSDs too - even comments on disk cables sometimes).
    b. If ok, from an admin command prompt run
    chkdsk X: /scan
    - where X is the drive letter in question. Result on GUI - scan only.

You also need to check the integrity of your existing backup. Macrium Reflect has an option for that- maybe Aomei B. does too.

Your specs say Win 7. This is tenforums - for Win 10. The forum prompted you clearly for your full build number.

*** I note you have another thread on this same issue - this is against forum rules...

Ok, was able to make changes to my profile. Should be up to date now. It looks like AOMEI freezes when it's backing up cache files or something.
