How to Celebrate the World Backup Day? - 4 GPT Plus Membership Offered

    Hi all,
It's about the World Backup Day. And it seems that you don't like any backup software giveaways anymore. And the admin is unwilling to post another.

Do you have any other suggestions on how to celebrate this tech-related day?
We made a page for it though it's quite basic content for you, the forums member.
Here it is - Data loss disasters and basics about backup.
    No promotional content at all!

How about offering 4 ChatGPT Plus one-month memberships for good tips on how to make this backup knowledge page better?
Will pick four lucky Tenforums members here for this small gift! And we will reflect the suggestions you offered on the page.

Let me know your suggestions! And hope more people get the habit of backing up important data.

I am not sure if there is a misinterpretation here. I can imagine why the forum admin is unwilling to post another free offerings offer as it was very time consuming for them to manage.

I could also see it might look as if these forums were supporting a specific product.

There is a difference between the forum owners advertising a product versus recommendations of the members.

In my opinion, there is no reason why you could not give away any offerings provided people email you via a link on your website. Of course, that offer would be open to anybody, not just these forums.

You would have to agree with the forum admin whether it is ok to advertise that in a post as a "member", as forum rules are quite strict about advertising but may be willing to allow one in support of "World Backup Day".

You would have to ask them.

I checked the previous giveaway from another provider, the moaning is about that it's not a lifetime version but a one-year version.
In my opinion, we've held several giveaways ( all were lifetime versions If I remember it right), and our product is not appealing to you guys anymore. So, I skipped that format for this World Backup Day.

We are giving away on our site but will only know it when people visit our site.

I totally agree with the admin's opinion on this. That's no doubt. And I don't think it's immoral to post this thread as it's not advertising and my intention is to thank you guys as you offered a lot of useful suggestions on our products. And since it's a giveaway, you need some conditions to pick up the winners. Or how to? So, I suggested that to offer some suggestions on our knowledge share page.

Hope this won't make you dislike "me", or I prefer to delete it.

I can understand the negativity against firms that offer a free licence and it turns out it is only a 1 year only deal.

The better model is a free offer that will last in perpetuity but you only get upgrades after one year if you buy a licence I have several of thse - some I bought a licence, some I did not (depending on value of product to me).

All these one year deals are is a free trial really.

One could argue 1 year deals are actually against the spirit of World Backup Day as it sort of sends the message you need to lease software to do backups.
