Is it possible to Clone system disk to a partition on another disk ?

Is it possible to Clone system disk to a partition on another disk ?

I am trying to make a clone of my OS disk to a partition on another disk.

On Macrium I do not see a way to do this ? It does not need to be bootable on this partition but I would like a cloned copy there.

Your question does not seem to make any sense.

A system disk normally consists of multiple partitions.

How can you somehow put multiple partitions into 1 partition?

You say you want to clone it. Literally a clone is an exact copy, although when used with respect to disks, it also seems to include changing partition sizes, rather changing the definition of a 'clone'.

If you are talking about copying the Windows (system) partition alone, then that can be done.

When I clone my Windows 10 ssd which has 4 partitions to a new ssd that has only one, it automatically makes those other/recovery partitions. So why cant it do the same with the partition and break it up as needed ?

I have not a clue what you're talking about.

A clone is a copy. Literally an exact copy.

System disk put simply tells the bios were to find boot files if you think like a street your system may point to house 22 but on another system the files may be at house 32 so it won't work if your lucky it may be the same

no. if you clone a disk it will overwrite the target disk.

you could clone a partition and that will overwrite the target partition.
what are you trying to achieve ?

if you want a backup copy of your os that you can boot straight into,

wincopy can do that to a single partition.

It is not cloning you want.

You should make an image backup.

You can image backup to any partition you like provided that partition is not included in the image backup.

Do not backup to a partition on OS drive - if drive fails, you lose the backup.

You will also need to create a usb rescue drive to restore the backup.

You could, if you wished, create an iso file image of your current installation...

Create Windows 10 ISO image from Existing Installation
