Macrium Reflect Free has been retired now that v8.1 has been released. There is no Free v8.1, only the 30 day Trial version. At the end of the trial v8.1 Trial reverts to a 'restore only' version.

Macrium Reflect Free Product - End Of Life (EOL)

Macrium Reflect Free v8.0 is the last version to receive feature, compatibility or bug fix updates.

Will future security vulnerabilities be fixed?
Yes, security patches will still be provided until 1st January 2024. After that date we will no longer provide any changes to the v8 Free code base.

Can I continue to use Macrium Reflect Free?
Yes, you can continue to use the software in perpetuity, your license to use the software is unaffected.

Will Macrium Reflect Free have any new features or updates for future Windows versions?
Macrium Reflect Free v8.0 supports Windows XP SP 3.0 up to, and including, Windows 10 & 11 version 22H2. There will be no new features or support for later Windows operating system updates.

Note: This notice only applies to Macrium Reflect Free.

If you have Reflect Free v8.0 installed it will continue to work after January 2024, the licence is perpetual.

If you haven't got it installed then you can still get the Reflect Free installer from the Macrium download server, if you know where to look.

No security/functionality updates after 1/1/2024 for the 8.0 free edition, I'm afraid.
At least that's what I have been told.

Next time, for everyone's benefit, maybe title the thread a bit more descriptively.

Bree, I have heard of most of those backup softwares. I do like the way AOMEI looks and works, but when I used it when I first got this pc, it really screwed up this PC. I have NO clue why. I have used it sucessfully on other PCs.

I did download the free Macrium Reflect and will use it. I am pretty sure I have used Easeus To DO before but it has been a while.
I have never heard of Hasleo, but will look into it.

    Thanks a bunch.

    @huffman

    IMHO -

Buy Macrium Reflect. I trust and recommend it.

It's easy to make a backup - but try restoring it, lol.
Some backup products fall flat when you really need it.
