On main PC, I now have regular W11 on one disk and Insider Canary on another. In Regular W11 I have payed MR and in insider free version.
In regular W11 backup plan is automatic Incremental backup at 10AM every day.
In insider W11 my backup plan is automatic Differential because Incremental doesn't work automatically in free version. Differential is much larger and takes much longer so I have an idea to do both from payed version but separate from each other, at different times and to different disk/folder. Another reason for that idea is that in order to backup Insider disk I have to BOOT to insider.
How ?
You only need the paid version on Host (non insider) OS. You can backup the Insider versions from the Host OS including incrementals.
The only minor problem imaging the Insider version from Host may be that it will backup the Insider temporary files as well, making the image a bit bigger (try it and see).
I doubt you can run different schedules though. However, you can select both drives and do incrementals to a common backup set with both drives. You would need a third drive to store the backups.
Then it is even easier - just backup the Insider drive from Host OS. You do not have to be booted into a drive to back it up.
After all, you can boot from a reflect usb drive and backup any drive.
Actually, reading some Macrium Reflect Forum posts, it looks like you can have more than one backup schedule queued up but one has to finish before the next starts. I would ask on the Macrium Reflect Forum.
I have a series of backup schedules set to run at 5 minute increments to backup all the drives in my PC but when I was looking into the issue of these clashing it turned out that it wasn't an issue and should I wish I could start all of them at the same time and they would each run one after the other until the series is done. Regardless I still ran these with the five minute increment as it was easier for me to differentiate between each of them in the logs should I need to using the timestamps.
