No, it's MajorGeeks that are being stupid. Their link for 'download (8.1.7336)' actually downloads ReflectDLHF.exe which is the Download Agent for Reflect Free. Use it and you'll just get the latest Reflect Free v8.0.

There is no Free version or Reflect v8.1, Reflect Free has been retired now. It will stay as v8.0 and get security/bug fixes until 1st January 2024.

Macrium Reflect Free v8.0 is the last version to receive feature, compatibility or bug fix updates.

Will future security vulnerabilities be fixed?

Yes, security patches will still be provided until 1st January 2024. After that date we will no longer provide any changes to the v8 Free code base.

Curious. There are release notes for a new: v8.1.7387 - 19th February 2023 but it's not showing up in 'check for updates'. Was it released then pulled, or is it just that the release notes were prepared ahead of an imminent release? @Stigg has been asking if anyone has managed to get it.
