    create restore point using task scheduler windows 10 Home

    I am certain this has been covered somewhere, but can't find it....maybe could be added to restore point tutorials section..

    did in create one but never seemed to work..

    Enable the existing System Restore task and add desired triggers to it.

    It says this with a parameter at the end, when I put it into CMD as admin, it creates a restore point.

    %windir%\system32\srtasks.exe ExecuteScheduledSPPCreation

    thanks seems to have been accepted ok, will monitor.....is there a way of changing the name of the created restore point ?

    tried to run the task manually, right clicked and chose run, but just get task triggered followed by task failed, maybe can't run it this way....also how can I clear the task history...thanks again
