Rescuezilla is a free open source disk imaging solution that supports data backups, restores and recovery actions. The application is operating system agnostic, as it needs to be put on an optical disc or an USB drive; one of the benefits that comes out of that, is that may access the application at any time, even if the PC does not boot anymore.

Interesting. Since it's Linux based it's probably similar to Clonezilla but with a more user-friendly GUI and networking. It also comes with GParted so you can manage disk partitions and Firefox browser.

It lacks features present in other imaging tools such as incremental/differential backup so if you need those stick to what you're using now.

Last time I thoroughly tested several drive image utilities' backup and restore capabilities (Macrium, Acronis, R-Drive, Paragon, Aoemei) the only one that could restore Linux (Lubuntu 18 x64) successfully was Clonezilla.

Hopefully someone will put this tool through it's paces and post a review. I don't have time right now (unless I get quarantined due to COVID again) and I already have backup tools (Macrium, Clonezilla) that have proven reliable so am not shopping for a new imaging software.
