Macrium Reflect cloning gets stuck at 99%

ive been trying to clone my hdd to sdd using macrium reflect but it keeps getting stuck on 99% Operation 2 of 1, this has been happening for 2 days and its very frustrating, heres how it goes, i clone, i wait for operation 1 to end, operation 2 begins and at 99%, gets stuck, and for some reason, the progress bar became blank, like its no longer a green progress bar. is there any way i can fix this? i have tried reinstalling, restarting my laptop, i will appreciate any help

    1. Have you checked the source and target disks?

    2. Have you tried a different program for cloning ?

    3. Are you doing an entire disk clone or are you doing os migration?

Chances are one drive has bad blocks check both drive or there is an option in MR to skip bad blocks if you copy bad blocks from a drive the new drive will have bad blocks and you cant revers it

If you check the disk and it finds bad blocks it stops using them so next time you run it it seems ok as its not checking bad blocks but they are there a MR will try to copy them unless you try the option to skip bad blocks

    1. Yes i have checked the source and target disks
Hi, how did you do that? E.g. if you ran chkdsk that's not an adequate check.

Try e.g. Hard Disk Sentinel (portable version available). Instant result on its GUI. Valid for SSDs too.
    Much more basic: Crystal Diskinfo.

The truth is no tool can truly clone/image a defective drive. Bypassing defective sections may help but you have no idea what the bypassed sections contain, so even if you clone/image the drive without defective sections, there is no guarantee that you can restore a (fully) working version.

Of course, worth a try but do not get your expectations too high.

Of course, if you were lucky, you might be able to IMAGE the used parts of partitions, rather than cloning the entire drive.

If the damage (assuming there is some) is not in those areas, the image should succeed.

Macrium R does a CRC check on what it's imaging, so if there is a problem, it will be flagged.

Yeah, i used chkdsk lol, my bad for that, ill try out Hard Disk Sentinel later, i didnt know the attachment was invalid, sorry.

I lost the screenshot of where the disk cloning is stuck at 99% with the progress bar being blank, So heres a screenshot from a guy from reddit, he is facing the same problem as mine except he is using restore from image, not disk cloning
