    Macrium Reflect Rescue Disk

About a week ago I had to use Macrium Reflect to restore my pc. I put my rescue disk in and restarted the PC expecting that disk to run and allow me to restore the system file I had made a few months ago.

That never happened. I was able to run MR and restore my PC.

I do NOT understand why the rescue never showed up as I believe it should.

    Any ideas?

Was the rescue disc tested to make sure it worked, after it was made?

I use flash drives for my Macrium rescue media, but I always test the drive after its created to made sure it works.

No computer info and still Win 7? Most systems you have to access a boot menu and select the drive with the bootable rescue media, not an automatic boot selection.

Your specs don't list your hardware, but it most cases... during restart you have to hit a certain key to bring up the boot menu.
From there you can select to boot from your Macrium rescue media (USB or CD).

Further, on the boot menu you might see TWO identical USB stick listed, one labeled UEFI and the other... not.
Generally you need to choose the UEFI one, to actually boot off the rescue media.

Boot from USB Drive on Windows 10 PC

Your specs don't list your hardware
    - even after 572 posts in threads asking for help... so now you've had that pointed out to you by 3 people. And in previous threads.

You would help yourself by getting more specific responses if you completed your specs.

It should not be the case that you need to restore your PC from an image as often as it seems you are doing. I think I've done that once with one PC in several years.

fireberd, I am pretty sure it was tested. I made a new new rescue disk last night and for sure I will test it.
cereberus,I will have to check on that.

Ghot, I need to figure out how to put my specs in here. Some where in the back of my mind I remember having tap key or something.

Seems I have some work to do to make sure the MR rescue disk will work.
    Thanks guys

I know what the problem is NOW. I just do NOT know how to get it fixed.

Windows will NOT let me boot from a CD/DVD and will not let me into BIOS to check/change the boot order.

This Windows 10 PC has been nothing PITA since the day I got it. We keep fixing it and it keeps breaking.

    DAMN

Getting into the BIOS has nothing to do with Windows. The BIOS is accessed before the device sees/recognises Windows.

Don't try tto get into the BIOS through Windows, it ain't gonna happen

Once again, as s-o-o-o many others have asked .... GIVE US YOUR SYSTEM SPECS !!! Then someone might be able to guide you into the BIOS and/or boot menu, with appropriate key, at the POST.

If you are able to post the model of the machine you are using that might be useful.

On many PC's if Windows fast start is enabled you can't access the BIOS at startup. IF this is the case, disable fast start.
