    Presumably that went faster... depends what you're backing up to ... e.g. if using USB3 must use a USB3 cable and disk in USB3 caddy that is recognised as USB3 ... etc....

    All sorts of possible variables- even down to your USB cable, if that's what you're using.

    Literally nothing was changed from backup to backup, well besides Window updates.
