No mouse or keyboard booting Macrium Rescue USB - Again!

I just upgraded from Macrium v7.3 Free to v8.0.6584.0 Free on one of my PCs and then created USB Rescue Media.
Booting the Rescue Media on the PC it was created from starts Macrium, but I have no mouse or keyboard. I have to reset the PC to get out.
The Rescue Media works fine on 3 other W10 PC's. I do not believe there is anything wrong with the Rescue USB.

I had this problem once before, when I first tried out Macrium 7.2.
Thread here: No mouse or keyboard booting Macrium USB

Back then, I gave Macium another shot when version 7.3 came out. That time the Rescue Media worked, on all PCs. I've been using Macrium ever since. Great program. Glad I switched.
I made subsequent rescue media each time an upgrade came out and they all worked on all PCs. The last one was 7.3.5854.
It used Win RE 10 Release 2004, 64 bit, UEFI.
The v8.0 media also uses Win RE 10 Release 2004, 64 bit, UEFI.

    This is a curious problem.
I assume I just wait till another update comes out and try that one to see if it resolves itself like before.
I suspect it is something particular to this specific PC and it's settings. I'd love to get some ideas to see if I can figure it out.
Trust me, I've gone through the list of all the usual suspects: changing settings in the Macrium setup, changing WIM versions, different USB stick, use a USB 2.0 port, use a motherboard port, start from the boot menu, start from the BIOS settings, Boot UEFI, Boot Legacy, maybe some more I forgot about.

    Hi,

Do you have legacy USB support option in your UEFI / BIOS ? If yes. Try to toggle it...

    Nope. No change in behavior.

I should mention that on the problem PC the program opens in low resolution. It opens in high resolution on the other PCs.
And yes, I went into the advanced Macrium settings and checked the box that is supposed to correct that. No change.

One other thing- the problem PC has an Marvel SATA controller on it that gives me 2 extra SATA 6 ports, both populated. When the system boots, the startup stops, a new screen appears showing the Marvel controller initializing, then it proceeds with regular boot. You can't enter BIOS settings or get the boot menu until after the controller initializes.
I can't see why this would affect anything here, but I mention it because it is unique to the problem PC.

You could remove it to test, but I don't think it's related, the screen you see is the Add-on card Options utility. If your drives are present in The recovery environment. I would never think it could be the problem.

The only other thing I could think is, missing USB Drivers. Maybe you could export these and inject them in your Reflect wim file ?

The motherboard is an Asus board with the Marvell controller on the board. The drives are present in recovery and one of them is for the images.

As for USB drivers, that could be possible, but since the standard works on the other PCs I can't see how they could be missing.
It would make more sense if the USB stick made on the problem PC didn't work on another PC - but that is not the case.
I'll give it a go anyway the next opportunity. Ya never know.

    @TV2 -

    Hi.

I read both of your threads.

    1) Are you sure that you are booting with UEFI and not BIOS? Please check and verify.
    2) Format the USB Flash Drive with no label and create the Bootable Media again with attention to these settings:

No mouse or keyboard booting Macrium Rescue USB - Again!-capture2-copy.png

No mouse or keyboard booting Macrium Rescue USB - Again!-capture3-copy.png

In the first picture, please select Windows RE and the bottom two options.
In the second picture, ensure that those options are checked off.
In the third picture, let Macrium scan for all devices that it could include - they should all be green. If not, post back with a picture of the devices not found.

My listed devices will be different than yours.

    Thanks.

    Hi Compumind
Yes, I have tried booting with both, and if there was a third way I would have tried that too!

I have tried creating the USB with all, none, and many combinations of the options.

What's weird if that other version's USBs work fine with default settings. Only the 7.2 and 8.0 versions do not, with any combinations of creation settings.
