@James,
Maybe this warrants your very own thread so more people see it? Up to you
Meantime I'll contribute to hijacking OPs thread. They won't mind since they already closed it
Yeah, depending on the cost delta of a 500 GB HDD vs SSD, it would make sense for you to buy a HDD to multi-boot your less disk intensive OSs like Linux flavors and W7, because they aren't as hungry as W10 and W11.
But do think about getting a bigger HDD or bigger SSD depending the $$$$ in your wallet as you can use them for other things in the future or partitions them for other things like your Macrium Reflect backups of your W1X boot drive (you do make those right? )

Haha! I can't say anything, I'm doing it too right nowMeantime I'll contribute to hijacking OPs thread
Most certainly. Since I have a good CPU and 16GB ram, I should be fine to use a HDD. + In my experience using VMs, even 8GB Ram and 2 Cores runs great (with the machine dynamically allocated on my HDD) on W7 and Ubuntu.Yeah, depending on the cost delta of a 500 GB HDD vs SSD, it would make sense for you to buy a HDD to multi-boot your less disk intensive OSs like Linux flavors and W7
I.. umm... err... Yes!Macrium Reflect backups of your W1X boot drive (you do make those right? )
