Both System Restore and System Image Stopped in December

That's basically the gist of my question. My last System Restore point is Dec 19, 2021. My task Manager shows it should be backing up daily at 2AM. And my external hard drive shows last System Image back in December also. Believe me, I have given it a lot of time. I'm not just letting you guys do all the work. So, can anyone help?
    OOOOOOOH, I hates coconuts!

I'm pretty sure I'm running Windows 11, not 10 by the way.

    Welcome to Ten Forums

First, you do realise that Microsoft deprecated their System Imaging Backup over four years ago, and recommend you not to use it?

    Microsoft said:
    System Image Backup (SIB) Solution
We recommend that users use full-disk backup solutions from other vendors.
Features removed or Deprecated in Windows 10 Fall Creators Update

Having said that, both system imaging and creating restore points relies on the Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS). Check your even log for VSS errors.

Are you sure? Your screenshot of System Restore has square corners, in W11 mine has the new rounded corners that came with W11. Either way the advice remains the same, nothing in this area has changed for W11 and my W11 machines still make restore points.

I wouldn't know about System Image Backup, I never use it. I took Microsoft's advice and use Macrium Reflect for all my system images. That too uses VSS, so it's working OK in W11 as it does on all my W10 machines.

Thanks for such a nice response, Bree. How do I "check my even log for VSS errors"? Dave

Click Start, type 'Event viewer' and open it. In the left pane go to Windows logs > Application. Look for any Backup or VSS events there that may have a red error symbol.
