    Macrium USB rescue

I am running Macrium 8 Free version.

Following tips above I have tried making Win RE drives but I still got the stuck mouse and keyboard issue. In desperation I have made a Win PE and it works - my PC boots up and my mouse and keyboards both work.

It delivers me to a screen (attached photo) but I do not know where to go from there. I can point my mouse anywhere .... but how do I get my Windows 10 to boot up from this particular screen ??

As I recall, macrium has its own little shell with shutdown and reboot options at the bottom left of the screen.

If you cant get to those, open a command prompt and type :
    wpeutil reboot

Thanks for that tip. I've done it.

...but how do I proceed to boot up Windows from the screen shown in photo shown above ? Having got that far with the rescue USB I would just want to proceed to boot into Windows.

I dont understand what you are asking.

If you are in the macrium pe, you can get out of the pe environment and boot into windows exactly as I described.

If you cant get to those, open a command prompt and type :
    wpeutil reboot
which you say you have done.

Thanks for that tip. I've done it.
not sure why you are asking the same question again

    1. Close Reflect on that screen, click the X at top right. The PC will restart.

    2. Click the Power button on the Taskbar to get a choice of Restart or Shut down.

    3. (bonus tip) Reflect v8 rescue media has its own screenshot function.

Diskgenius has an attractive pe shel, but I dont know how to modify it.

Unless building an advanced pe, it is quite easy to put in a little menu in using pecmd

It can look something like this:

Just booted to Macrium recovery with my external drive (with images) also connected. You can search for images to restore outside of Windows. That's the whole idea. I create the images within Windows though. As @Bree said there are buttons and tabs to explore.

In case it's not clear: your rescue USB merely boots the Reflect recovery system - you need a previously-created image of your OS for recovery, and it sounds like you may never have created one. Boot normally to Windows, run Reflect and create a system image. The drive/partition you store it on must be available when you subsequently boot from the rescue USB.

Thank you one and all. I already have a Macrium-created system image so now I know which bit of the Rescue screen to click to access it.

    Once again, thanks.
