But Wifi is precisely what I am trying to avoid.
But your comment got me thinkin'. If WinRe allows for Wifi, is there a Base Wim that does not? After
some web searching it appears that WinPE 10 is that animal. So I recreated the boot media using
WinPE 10 -- booted -- and again there is a long delay stuck at 'loading networking...'. Arrrgh.
But while I sat staring at the screen waiting for Reflect to actually load, I wondered if the delay was
actually due to 'networking' at all. Is it possible the delay is due to Reflect searching drives for image
files??
When it finally does load there are no images listed -- I need to click 'Browse for images' to
navigate to the images. My images are stored on an SSD connected via USB. Maybe Reflect
is confused by that.
Gonna copy an image to an internal HDD and see if the boot media finds that more amenable.
