Confused by Google Drive and Backup & Sync

    Confused by Google Drive and Backup & Sync


    When I upgraded successfully to Drive for Desktop it said Backup & Sync would then be uninstalled.
    It's working successfully but now I seem to have both installed.
    Google Drive 326 MB and Backup & Sync 310 MB are both listed in Programs.
    Is this correct? Should I uninstall BU&S ?
    I am using Windows 8.1 on this laptop but posting here as I get good responses.
    No-one is answering in the Google Community !
    Any advice much appreciated, thanks.

    Normally backup and sync Google will remove it does wait a bit to do this to make sure syncing is finished. If Google drive is working OK and backing up the same folders you can remove it

    Many thanks.
    It's a few weeks since I migrated so I have bitten the bullet and uninstalled Backup & Sync.
    Everything still seems to be working OK.
